Basler Residence, Lincoln, NE
Structural design of this custom, single family, two story (with basement) residence involved extensive structural steel paired with wood framing. On one side of the structure, a two story structural steel curtain wall was design to transmit the vertical and lateral loads to conventional cast in place reinforced concrete basement foundation walls.
McKinley Project, Douglas County, NE
Structural design of a 5,000 sq ft addition to the existing single family dwelling. In additional to conventional steel, wood framing, and cast in place reinforced concrete construction, two unique features required special design consideration. A two story structural steel frame was designed to support the cantilevered living room. Also, a covered walkway was designed to provide access to the original home.
